Hine XO Aged 10 Years Cognac

Hine XO Aged 10 Years Cognac
Hine XO Aged 10 Years Cognac is an intriguing Travel Retail bottling from the House of Hine. This expression was crafted with eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne region, aged for 10 years in their cellars in Jarnac, as well as damp cellars in Britain. Not a very common sight to see Cognac with an age statement as part of it’s branding, therefore its appearance alone presents a breath of fresh air within the Cognac market. Revealing a combination of spicy and fruit aromas, this XO is an emblem of the fine quality produced from Cognac’s premier cru.
From vintage blends, to single plot offerings, Cognacs produced by Hine share the same attributes of delicacy, vivacity and finesse. Single vintages have been a signature of the brand for decades. Each vintage is a liquid snapshot that captures the essence of a particular year, echoing the elaboration of fine wines and Champagnes. Matching such high standards is only possible in years when nature provides optimal conditions for the growth of exceptional quality vines of which the best grapes can be selected from.
With the traditional vintage Cognacs becoming close to extinction, the house of Hine remain proud guardians of the casks and demijohns. Therefore the brand takes pride and responsibility when it comes to aging such serene vintage Cognacs under the floorboards of the Hine Estate - just a stone’s throw away from the epicentre of Cognac; Charente.
Presentation of the bottle
Slender and sleek, the Hine 10 Years XO 1000ml bottle design is as luxurious as the Cognac it houses. Its beautifully shiny bronze colouring embodies the supple flavourings and exceptional quality that is contained inside the bottle. The classic and timeless design of the decanter means it would sit nicely alongside others in your collection. Arriving with a contemporary presentation sleeve, it is the perfect present for a Cognac lover or connoisseur.
How to enjoy
Having found its alcohol content naturally over time, this vintage blend Cognac contains unparalleled elegance and infinite depth that should be enjoyed one sip at a time. Drink neat from a tulip glass, as the narrow top of this type of glass will delicately distribute the arrival of aromas during the tasting.
About Hine Cognac
Located in the heart of the Grande Champagne, the premium wine growing area of the Cognac region, the house of Hine has been producing some of the most exquisite Cognacs for six generations, when it was better known as T Hine & Co Cognac. The estate boasts an exceptional 173 acres of vineyards, and the house has a very special tradition of producing relatively small quantities - but with a very high standard in quality. One of their trademarks is to store their vintage casks in damp cellars in Bristol, England. This way, the Thomas Hine Cognac goes through a uniquely different ageing process due to the humidity of the seaside town, which differs somewhat to that of the southwestern coast of France. These highly priced vintage bottles are called “Hine Early-Landed Vintage Cognac”.
