Growth area & soil: Grande Champagne
Hine Trio ''Bonneuil Collection'' Tasting Set Cognac
The Domaines Hine Bonneuil Collection comprises a trio of unblended single estate, single harvest Cognacs, providing a range of expressions of the Grande Champagne terroir. Focusing exclusively on the Fine Champagne growing areas, the House of Hine oversees 115 hectares of land by the village of Bonneuil. Vines of Ugni Blanc grapes cover the limestone-studded hills, drawing nutrients and water deep from the chalky soil even during the hottest summers.
This unique parcel allows us to see the difference from one harvest to another, comparing the unique qualities created by the individual climate and conditions each year brings. Get to know the Premier Cru more intimately though a comparative tasting, or impress any Cognac lover with this wonderful gift.
Bonneuil 2006: Generous and suave, this vintage evokes candied apricot and nougat enhanced by delicate hints of toasted bread. A subtle hint of lychee awakens aromas of exotic fruits, honeyed flavours and roasted peach.
Bonneuil 2008: Smooth on the nose with seductive aromas of cranberry, ripe apricot and mountain honey. Revealing slightly sharp hints of citrus on the palate, this is an impressively bright and elegant Cognac.
Bonneuil 2010: Lively, with vivid aromas of tangerine and peach sustained by hints of white flowers and toasted bread. With remarkable tension and elegance, this vintage expresses concentrated flavors leading into a lingering finish.

About Hine Cognac
Located in the heart of the Grande Champagne, the premium wine growing area of the Cognac region, the house of Hine has been producing some of the most exquisite Cognacs for six generations, when it was better known as T Hine & Co Cognac. The estate boasts an exceptional 173 acres of vineyards, and the house has a very special tradition of producing relatively small quantities - but with a very high standard in quality. One of their trademarks is to store their vintage casks in damp cellars in Bristol, England. This way, the Thomas Hine Cognac goes through a uniquely different ageing process due to the humidity of the seaside town, which differs somewhat to that of the southwestern coast of France. These highly priced vintage bottles are called “Hine Early-Landed Vintage Cognac”.
