Description
Albert de Montaubert XO Silver 25 Years Cognac: a Taste of Tradition
Sourced from the Grande Champagne, the Albert de Montaubert XO Silver 25 Years Cognac is an outstanding aged Cognac distilled in the classic Charentais manner. It has been aged exclusively in oak barrels for 25 to 30 years and blended at least 30 months before bottling. Instead of being chill-filtered, it has been lightly filtered at ambient temperatures, preserving the qualities of the eaux-de-vie and giving a luxurious mouthfeel.
The House of Albert de Montaubert & Fils starts with its namesake, that dates back to 1850. Today, they are in possession of the oldest Cognac still in production and maintain traditional methods for making their eaux-de-vie. The family only harvest from their own estate vineyards to this day, which means all their grapes originate in the heart of the Cognac region - the Grande Champagne. This small exclusive area is where some of Cognac’s finest grapes are produced, which is why it’s also known as the Premier Cru.
Presentation of the Bottle
Elegantly curved with a thick base, the decanter has a distinct luxurious appearance heightened by the use of gold lettering on the front. The matching gold foil, as well as the bottle, features the age prominently.
How to Enjoy Albert de Montaubert XO Silver 25 Years Cognac
Rare Grande Champagne blends like this deserve attention: pour gently into a tulip glass and let it rest for 30 seconds before taking a sip. To allow the aromas to open up further, a small dash of mineral water could be added.
About Albert de Montaubert Cognac

The family only harvest from their own estate vineyards, which means all their eaux-de-vie originate in the heart of the Cognac region - the Grande Champagne. Also known as the Premier Cru, this small exclusive area is home to some of Cognac’s finest grapes. It was these qualities that drew Albert de Montaubert to begin distilling Cognac and the reason why his great-grandson Pierre Barrier decided to create a brand in his name.
