Description
Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 1 Limited Edition Cognac
This rich, single-batch Cognac is the inaugural release in the Master Blender’s Selection series. Created by Yann Fillioux, the 7th generation Master Blender of this legendary Cognac house, it's a tribute to Hennessy's initial shipment of Cognac to the US in 1794. The Master Blender’s Section No.1 Limited Edition Cognac consists of some 80 to 100 eaux-de-vie, aged for up to 16 years in two- to four-year-old French oak casks. The House of Hennessy specializes in distilling their eaux-de-vie without the lees for a smooth, clean palate and utilize humid cellars for a steady maturation. Combined with aged French oak, the result here is bursting with nutty, fruity notes that express the most quintessential character you expect from a Hennessy Cognac.
Once the supply of this release runs out it will not be made available again, as the role of Master Blender has since been taken over by Renaud de Gironde. It’s a bottle that stands as a very personal signature of Yann Filioux - make sure to get it before it’s gone for good.
Presentation of the Bottle
The Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No.1 comes in a modern bottle featuring a squared-off neck, wooden cork stopper and a white label with blue text. The cork is sealed with a paper seal of authenticity and each bottle in this limited edition series is numbered and signed by Hennessy’s former Master Blender, Yann Fillioux.
How to Enjoy Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 1
Take the time to leave this Cognac to rest in your glass before tasting it, and prepare yourself for the moment when you take the first sip. For the best tasting experience, Hennessy recommends serving it neat at room temperature, or chilled with three cubes of ice.

About Hennessy Cognac
You may think, that with Hennessy’s ability to innovate and push boundaries, they are a thoroughly ‘modern’ Cognac brand. This is a large part of their immense success and influence. The very French brand based in the Charente region, in fact, dates all the way back to 1765 - to Ireland - but have managed to shapeshift enough times to remain more relevant than ever before - with current Master Blender Renaud Fillioux. Their range of uber-trendy products is ever expanding, and their marketing campaigns all the more captivating. There is no doubt that ‘Henny’ culture is alive and kicking: both Cognac and a fifth of Hennessy are mentioned in what seems like hundreds of songs.
