Description

Claude Thorin Esprit Cognac

Embark on a journey through generations with Claude Thorin Esprit Cognac, a rare embodiment of family essence and heritage. This unique blend of Cognacs distilled by André Thorin, the father of Claude, is the proof of ancestral knowledge of the Thorin family in the art of Cognac distillation and aging.

It all began in 1948, when André Thorin began harvesting his first crop of grapes. Gradually, he acquired a 10hl still and began distilling his harvest. For four decades, he oversaw every stage of the process, patiently cultivating each batch until 1988.

It was then that his son, Claude Thorin, took up the torch with determination. Guided by his father's legacy and vision, Claude continued the distillation work with unwavering commitment.

Today, this exceptional Cognac is much more: it's a vibrant tribute to the spirit and passion of André Thorin. Each sip reveals the fruits of decades of hard work, capturing the very essence of terroir and family tradition.

The eaux-de-vie, carefully distilled by André Thorin, are precisely blended to create a symphony of unforgettable flavors. Aged in a humid cellar in Limousin oak casks, this eaux-de-vie fully express the richness and complexity of the Grande Champagne terroir. Each sip is a celebration of the family heritage, an encounter with the history and passion that drive the Thorin family.

Quote from Claude Thorin: "My father taught me much more than the secrets of cognac. He passed on to me the family spirit and age-old know-how that resonates in every note of our blends. This particular cognac is so much more, it's a poignant tribute to my father's resolute spirit, an ode to his inexhaustible passion and the legacy he passed on to us."

Each sip of Esprit is a harmony of balance, offering a symphony of flavors: rancio, candied orange, and tobacco notes, all contributing to its unmatched length on the palate.

Presentation of the bottle

The Claude Thorin Esprit Cognac bottle features a broad, slightly tapered base that rises to a more narrow neck, providing a sturdy and elegant profile. It comes in a wooden box.

How to drink

The Esprit by Claude Thorin is best appreciated neat, perhaps at room temperature to fully savor the depth of its spicy and fruity undertones.
