Introducing Merlet Single Malt Coperies Les Ocres Whisky, a testament to French craftsmanship and innovation in the world of whisky. This exceptional single malt, entirely produced in the Charente-Maritime region of South-West France, showcases the dedication to quality and passion for distilling of the Merlet family.
Following traditional methods, the whisky undergoes a double distillation in pot stills, known for yielding a smoother and more refined spirit. Aged for 4 to 5 years in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels, Les Ocres then receives a unique finishing touch—additional maturation in French fortified wine casks, including Pineau des Charentes and Maury, which impart distinctive candied fruit notes and a complex, rich flavor profile.
