Jean Cavé Blanche d'Armagnac 64%

The Jean Cave Blanche d’Armagnac 64% is a fresh and fruity offering from the house of Jean Cave. This is one to share with guests, preferably in the sunshine, as its floral and fruity aromas epitomize a summer afternoon under the glistening sun. A must-have addition to accompany you at a garden party.

Offering two white Armagnac with an alcohol level of either 40% or 64% - Armagnac connoisseurs are spoilt for choice. In order to achieve these different alcohol degrees the Cellar Master takes charge of the alcohol reduction by adding petites eaux (a little water), that are a blend of Armagnac and distilled water. The Cellar Master strives to restore the alcohol level each year of the aging process in order to preserve harmony and carefully bring alcohol levels down so that it is ready for consumption.

At the house of Jean Cave, the cellar Master is also responsible for maintaining and stabilising the humidity and temperature of the cellar - this is deemed essential in order to preserve the decades of perfumes, aromas, finesse and expression of the eaux-de-vie.

Situated amidst the Bas-Armagnac region, the house of Jean Cavé boasts four generations of expertise in the art of distilling and aging, both vintage and blended Armagnacs. With more than 135 years of tradition passed down through the family - this Cognac house comprises a vast range of unique products making it the prime starting place for those who are new to the world of Armagnac. With so much on offer - there really is something for everyone.

The bottle’s perfect proportions showcase the fine quality and dedication that has gone into creating the product. It oozes elegance - down to each and every last detail.

How to enjoy

This white fruity and floral Armagnac can be appreciated on its own or on the rocks. It serves beautifully as the perfect base ingredient in a cocktail. The house of Jean Cave recommends using Jean Cave Blanche d’Armagnac to make their “Summer Pepper Cocktail”:

  • 1.5 cl of agave syrup
  • 2 cl of lime juice
  • 4 cl of pineapple juice
  • 1.5 cl amaretto liqueur
  • 2 cl Blanche jean Cavé 40%
  • 3 cl Blanche Jean Cavé 64%
  • ½ Egg white 5 berry peppers

Mix this cocktail by adding all the ingredients to a shaker. First shake well with ice cubes and a second time without ice cubes (reverse shake). Then double strain the mix into a tumbler glass.
