This XO Cognac is produced from a blend of 15 and 20 year-old eaux-de-vie, meaning it has been aged for well past the legal requirement of an XO. Made from Ugni Blanc grapes grown exclusively in the Fins Bois cru, this Cognac is well known amongst connoisseurs.
The House of Bernard Boutinet has over 200 years of history behind it and has maintained its traditional methods of production throughout all this time. Its Cognacs possess the fruity and floral characteristics of the Fins Bois region. Aged in oak barrels and hidden away, undisturbed from daily trepidation they develop into the exquisitely rounded, sweet and fragrant Cognacs that the house is renowned for.
This Cognac comes presented in a delicate and square-shaped decanter, with a beautiful golden colour stopper. The decanter’s golden illustration is very simple and sits delicately against the striking and warm amber shade of the Cognac.
Boasting over two centuries of history and four generations of wine growers and producers, the house of Bernard Boutinet produces a range of cognacs to suit all palates. Located solely in the terroir of Fins Bois, this artisan estate sells its wares directly to the general public. Their brands are easily spotted by the use of the region’s ‘La Caleche’ emblem on the classic style labels that grace the front of all its bottles and decanters.
