Tasting review:

Eye: Golden amber

Nose: Soft fruits, perfume of white flowers, vanilla, and a little hint of spiciness

Palate: Tones of marmalade, smooth, mellow, delicate, yet with more than enough character to satisfy the curious. A good lentgh of finish that evolves along a rollercoaster of summber fruits and vanilla

Description

The Rivente VSOP Cognac is a blend of 26 eaux-de-vie, the majority of which come from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. The rest are from the unique Fins Bois terroir, adding the unique aromas and flavors found only from grapes grown in this area. This Cognac has been specifically designed to appeal to those who don't conform to what used to be considered the 'normal' way in which to enjoy this classic French spirit. Thankfully Cognac, and those who drink it, have evolved, and today it's sipped by those of all ages, from all backgrounds, and in any which way you please. In today's world, there's certainly no 'right' way to drink Cognac.

This VSOP is designed to be enjoyed in a cocktail. It has more than enough character to shine through in such a drink, adding its unique footprint of flavor and quality within the perfectly mixed drink. Or, if you prefer, simply combine with your favorite mixer in a tall glass. Over ice is also an option. Or why not just place the bottle in the freezer and enjoy it icy cold–a unique tasting experience. This is a versatile, trendy Cognac: the perfect party drink, clubbing drink, or to simply mix up and enjoy with a few close friends.
