Description

Giboin XO Royal Carafe Coffret Cognac

A mix of being distilled with its own and added lees, Giboin XO Royal Carafe Coffret is a beautifully balanced Cognac. Uniquely blended with the house of Giboin’s oldest eaux-de-vie, dating back to 1962 it is a rare ‘tri-generational’ Cognac. With contrasting floral fragrances alongside hints of subtle spice, the smell alone of this Cognac leaves a lasting impression. Upon tasting beautiful notes of dried fruits, roasted almonds, chocolate, black tea, oak and nutmeg also linger and immerse the senses.

With hundreds of years worth of expertise under their belt, it’s safe to say, the close-knit family running Maison Giboin know a thing or two about Cognac. Based in both the Borderies and Fins bois crus, Giboin are artisanal masters in the creation of quality products characteristic of the region and subsoil. Offering a variety of unique Cognacs and Pineau de Charentes, the house of Giboin is a notable brand that deserves a firm place in any Cognac collection.

Presentation of the bottle

The Decanter version is coming dressed in a stunning square carafe , its form is ressemblant of a luxury perfume bottle. Stylish and refined, black and gold accents finish off the design beautifully. Arriving with a refined all-black gift box, it is an exceptional gift that deserves a centred place in a Cognac lovers collection. You can also choose the standard bottle - Charentaise style.

How to enjoy

For a truly pleasurable experience, pair with rich dark chocolate. Enhance the tasting by enjoying Royale XO Cognac following an afternoon coffee. A sure sensory sensation.

About Giboin Cognac

Giboin is an expert producer of both Cognac and Pineau de Charentes, with 60 acres (24 hectars) of vineyards in both the Borderies and Fins Bois Cognac growing areas of the Charente. This family run, traditional brand has a history stretching back to the early part of the nineteenth century, and exclusively produces a very limited amount of Cognac per year. Using predominantly Ugni Blanc grapes, but Merlot too, Giboin strives to remain committed to the methods used by the family’s founders, and for a small house curates a surprisingly versatile and wide range of Cognac and Pineau products.
