Описание
Vaudon Fine Rare Fins Bois Cognac: The Unfiltered Fins Bois Phenomenon
Could this producer be the master of the Fins Bois? The Vaudon Fine Rare Fins Bois Cognac certainly suggests so. With a history of distilling dating back to 1771, they have a history of producing exceptional, unfiltered Cognac.
This Fine Rare special is a young Cognac that has been aged for around 2-3 years, while capturing the fruitier, naturally sweet eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois. It truly is a young, fresh expression of this cru.
Pierre Vaudon is the current Maître de Chai of Vaudon Cognac, using a traditional style of Charentais distillation. Pierre matures his Fine Rare Cognac in both loose grain and tight oak barrels, that are both used and new to impart unique flavor. He then carefully blends the Cognac with a series of Fins Bois eaux-de-vie.
Geographically, the Fins Bois cushions the growth areas of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies.
How to Serve
If you are curious to learn the special qualities of this one cru in particular, we recommend allowing this Cognac to first sit in a snifter glass for around 10 minutes before the first nose and sip. Allow the Cognac to develop fully before indulging.
Presentation of the bottle
A simple, 70cl bottle that is slightly overproof at 43% ABV. Vaudon choose to leave this Cognac unfiltered, which allows for its authentic character to emerge.
