Raymond Bossis XO Brut de Fût Cognac
Mahagony colour.
A dark chocolaty nose, treacle, toffee, dried fruits (figs, dates), raisins, coffee, tobacco and old wood - the higher ABV is well integrated if you give it some time.
On the palate this cognac is fullbodied, sweet with intense chocolaty notes, sweet raisins, vanilla, sweet coffee and tobacco again.
The finish is medium to long on chocolate, fruity sweetness and fine spices (cloves, cinnamon) - developing well to more nuances with time.
