About Distillerie Martinaud

Cognac House Martinaud is a family-run business, currently in its eighth generation, founded in 1847. The estate is located in Chantillac, Charente, which is situated halfway between the cities of Angoulême and Bordeaux, just off the N10 national highway. The 30-hectare estate comprises vineyards distributed across four different crus: Fins Bois, Bons Bois, Petite Champagne, and Grande Champagne.

For the Martinaud family it has always been a big priority to respect the land and the environment. They did not only take the time to carefully craft the delicate nectar that is Cognac but are also conscious of the gifts that nature provides. The Martinaud family is committed to environmentally-friendly agriculture ever since. In order to produce the best eaux-de-vie, the Martinaud family focuses on preserving biodiversity, implementing a phytosanitary strategy, and conserving water resources.
