Description

Monnet Salamander Cognac and Spices Liqueur

Monnet Salamander Cognac and Spices Liqueur presents Cognac from a new angle - in doing so, it merges the spirit with spices and other noble botanicals to form a refreshing liquor to be enjoyed on its own or alongside other spirits in a cocktail. The contrasting flavors complete each other and unveil a deliciously original liquor used by mixologists at the bar. The Salamander is known for its capacity to withstand fire and has been the symbol of Maison Monnet since 1838 - it was also notably the emblem of King Francis 1st. Therefore, it seemed only fitting for Maison Monnet to produce this offering which combines a Monnet Cognac with a melange of firey spices under the same symbol.

Maison Monnet takes pride in crafting Cognacs that can be likened to shining jewels, filled with brightness, polished to perfection and the result of both time and the hard work of man-kind. Passing down secular tradition, enriched through the years and through the different generations, the house of Monnet has been preserving history whilst breaking the boundaries of quality since 1838.

Presentation of the bottle

Monnet Salamander Cognac and Spices Liqueur is dressed in a squared decanter with smooth curves and plentiful personality. The label and branding feature bold red accents and a grand illustration of a Salamander, which is the house of Monnet’s logo and the perfect representation of what this spicy liquor embodies through its flavors. Just like the Cognac it beholds, the presentation of this offering is bright, audacious and full of character.

How to enjoy

Showcasing lingering aromas of spices such as ginger and cinnamon alongside candied oranges, this liquor is best enjoyed as a component of a fresh and fruity cocktail. Try simply adding one shot of Monnet Salamander Cognac and Spices Liqueur to a cocktail mixed with a VS Cognac, tonic water, and the juice of an orange. Serve over ice for a refreshing beverage to enjoy as an aperitif amongst guests.
