A Cognac Collaboration, Luxury and Lifestyle meet in Remy Martin and Don C's "Just Remy" Capsule Cognac
Kicking off its Collector's Series, Remy Martin is becoming the master of all things modern with its recent collaborations with some of the leading designers and legends in streetwear and lifestyle. Bringing together the world of fashion, basketball and Cognac, the 1738 "Just Remy" Capsule Cognac is housed in a snakeskin-esque sneaker box, and comes with branded laces.
Donc C is a streetwear legend and cultural icon, and this latest release celebrates his unique style while simultaneously highlighting Remy Martin's craftsmanship and constant innovation. The Collector’s Series collection consists of bottles of the 1738 Royal Accord Cognac housed in unusually designed "capsules" in partnership with some of the most prominent figures in the game. Both Don C and Remy Martin are precise in their creation of cutting-edge, high quality pieces that push the boundaries of fashion and Cognac, making this a match in heaven. Both seem to go hand in hand, witnessed by a dedicated following of fans through a luxury lens.
"This project allowed me to effortlessly integrate my passion points and personal style to a collection that is unique to Remy Martin", Don C comments on his creative process, and this first of many collaborations is an inspirational showcase of both partner's one-of-a-kind designs.
The "1738 Accord Royal" is, as its name suggests, fit for a king. It's a direct reference to the royal warrant awarded by the King that enabled Monsieur Rémy Martin to plant his new vineyard in this important year, something that was strictly forbidden at the time. The blend is exclusively from the Fine Champagne terroir, 65% Grande Champagne and 35% Petite Champagne and contains over 240 eaux-de-vie, aged between 4 and 20 years old, with an average age of 12 years. This royally rich blend is a particular favorite for whisky or Armagnac fans who favor a full-bodied and rich blend that boasts a wide range of aromas, varying from nutty to sweet and spicy.
How to Enjoy:
This is a medium to full-bodied Cognac that's full of flavor with sweet and spice perfectly balancing one another, it can be drunk on its own but also makes an excellent addition to a cocktail.
Why not try it in a Brandy Manhattan?
In a glass, add ice before adding 1 tsp of maraschino cherry juice, one whole cherry, two dashes of Angostura bitters, 1/2 fl oz. of sweet vermouth followed by 2 oz of Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal. Stir until the cocktail has diluted enough (or add a splash of water if you're feeling impatient), and enjoy!
Presentation of the Bottle:
An elegant bell-shaped bottle houses the Royal Accord 1738 Cognac, its copper tones match perfectly with the faded parchment-like label that gives it an authentic, traditional feel. This traditional bottle is finished by a classic cork stopper, contrasted by its stark modern housing.
The sneaker box the Cognac comes in is a true representation of Don C's creative style, featuring his signature snakeskin cover and the outline of a basketball, it's a culmination of cultures that's never before been seen in Cognac. An exquisite blend of old meeting new, tradition meeting modernity, defining the current generation through creative collaborations that celebrate streetwear.
The bottle also comes with "Just Remy" branded sneaker laces, equally in luxurious black and gold.
