Description

Léopold Gourmel Age des Fleurs 15 Carats Decanter Edition Cognac

Extra Age des Fleurs 15 Carats Cognac is an XO unveiling unrivalled finesse and elegance from start to finish. Having spent up to a decade aging in French oak casks, Age des Fleurs is made up of exclusively selected from the Fins Bois region of Cognac. With floral and vanilla notes on the nose, its warm flavors seduce the senses as they swim across the palate into a deep finish. An XO offers a true adventure for the taste buds, starting with the first sip and ending at the very last lingering drop left in the bottle.

Leopold Gourmel is a Cognac house that began in 1972 when founder Pierre Voisin first began curating Cognac, and as an ode to his grandfather, the brand was subsequently named Leopold Gourmel. Over the years, Leopold Gourmel has come on leaps and bounds and continues the tradition of excellence established by both Olivier Blanc and Nicolas Sinoquet who have strived to produce the very best quality, naturally produced Cognac that the region has to offer.

Presentation of the decanter

Dressed in a decanter oozing luxury and opulence, the decanter edition of Age des Fleurs 15 carats is a fine choice for those who appreciate even the smallest details. The shape of the decanter embodies that of a perfume bottle, meaning it will sit beautifully, center stage at the front of the bar. While delicate touches of gold feature throughout the design inflicting an air of elegance, the brand's logo doubles as a glass bottle stopper, sculpted into the shape of a horse. The logo is a fitting finishing touch to all of Leopold Gourmel’s products as the illustration of a horse, hones in on the brand’s values of remaining protective to the land and surrounding nature. The simply sublime bottle design arrives with a bespoke wooden case to protect the bottle when it is not showcased out on display.

How to enjoy

Such a mature Cognac is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks after a meal with game or red meat. Extra Age des Fleurs 15 Carats also serves perfectly for prolonging refined red wines following the meal.

About Leopold Gourmel Cognac

This cognac house has always relied on natural processes. From growing the grapes to picking, maturing, distilling, aging and bottling them, Gourmel cognac is free of any chemicals, pesticides or additives to enhance color in respect of nature and the final product. The philosophy of the company is to concentrate on quality not quantity, which means that one year the outcome may be higher than in others. This is further shown by the radical decision to produce only pure vintage cognacs, so there is no blending of different years in order to create VS, VSOP or XO cognacs for instance. To go with this authentic approach, the design of Gourmel is simple and modern.
