Michel Bureau Cognac

Michel Bureau Cognac

The story behind this Cognac house goes all the way back to 1893, when Victor Albert, the grandfather of Michel Bureau, started his vineyard in Guimps. By 1914 he had built an alembic still. Passed down through the female line twice, the sons of Michel, Jean-Luc and François, are now in charge with Ghislaïne. They have a vineyard in the Petite Champagne, and as of 1993 began to produce XO quality Cognacs. Their Cognacs include a Napoléon, VSOP, Vieille Réserve, XO, Le Secret and Le Mystere. The last two are particularly well aged.
