The Merlet Soeurs Cerises Cherry Liqueur has been created using a variety of cherries, with the majority being sweet Morello. After being soaked in alcohol, the resulting cherry juice is blended with a small amount of Merlet Cognac to create a sweet, powerful liqueur drink.
The addition of Cognac adds a subtle alteration to the flavor, but be very sure - the overriding delight is that of delicious cherries - and even a touch of violets. Enjoy it cold or on the rocks, or as an outstanding component in modern and classic cocktails. At 24% ABV, it’ll certainly add plenty of character to whatever drink you decide to blend it with.
With a traceable history dating back to 1850, the Merlet family have continued to produce cognac, alongside a continually growing range of other products, to the current day. Headed today by Gilles Merlet, his sons Pierre and Luc joined the business a few years back, bringing with them a new generation of enthusiasm and direction. Although the house Distillerie Merlet & Fils originally produced eaux-de-vie for some of the most prestigious cognac houses in the world of cognac, they are now famous in their own right, not only for their quality cognacs, but for their innovative range of other products that sell around the globe.
