Prunier Fine Champagne Hostellerie consists of at least 50% Grande Champagne cognacs, and the rest Petite Champagne. The average age of this cognac is about 5 years. The eaux-de-vie for this Cognac are purchased by Prunier in Archiac, Petite Champagne and in Bouteville, Grande Champagne; and some villages close by. This cognac series was created in the 1930's and can be consumed on ice, after heavy meals.
Steeped in tradition, Cognac Prunier is a family run firm with cellars in the heart of the town of Cognac. The house does not own its own vineyards, instead, they buy the eaux-de-vie directly from supplying vine growers and distillers each year, and then carry out the ageing process in their own cellars.
