The Cognac was named "God" as the Angels were never able to fully acquire their share during the maturation process, hence the high alcohol content. It is as pure and natural as the Garden of Eden, with the only alteration coming from the French oak casks it has spent 4 years in.

It has been left to age in a single cask, with no dilution, no added sugar or caramel and no blending before bottling. A holy trinity of quality, a single cru, single barrel, pure Cognac.

On top of being from a single barrel and a single cru, it’s a truly innovative offering from the talented house of Godet. Because with this selection, the house of Godet has chosen to resurrect some grape varieties that are rarely used in Cognac making today. In the distant past, growers and producers were more experimental with their creations.

And it’s this that’s been embraced with this 100% Petite Champagne blend, as it’s been produced using eaux-de-vie from grapes that are rarely used in today’s Cognacs; namely, Colombard, Montils, and Folle Blanche. Some of these rare, forgotten and fabulous grape varieties were almost entirely wiped out by the phylloxera disaster of 1875, meaning this selection is unique and highly sought amongst Cognac connoisseurs.

How to Enjoy:

Due its high alcohol content, Godet recommend watering this Cognac down a little with chilled, filtered water if possible (or bottled water), as this bottle comes with two tasting glasses, fill the glass until the first line that features on the design, and top with water up to the second line, providing the perfect balance for a supeb sensory experience.
