Introducing an exceptional artisanal cognac, crafted with passion and care at an estate in the heart of Petite Champagne, France. The producers specialize in the production of cognac using the Ugni Blanc grape variety, which is sustainably grown in their vineyard using responsible farming practices.
After the distillation, this cognac is then aged in 'roux' and 'old' casks made of French Limousin oak for many years in their cellars. Chateau de Montifaud reduces the alcohol content slowly and gently with their special process, and their very soft filtration preserves the maximum flavors and aromas of their cognac.
Each bottle of the cognac is hand-bottled and counted at the estate, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail. The producers take pride in their artisanal production methods and are confident that their cognac will delight even the most discerning palates. Owned by the family Vallet for six generations, Chateau de Montifaud Cognac boasts 125 hectares of vineyards that are located in both the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne growing regions. The house produces a large, high quality range of cognacs – including various vintages from years that have had an exceptional harvest. One family tradition that Cognac Chateau Montifaud is proud to follow, is that of when a new baby boy is born to the head of the cognac house, that part of the cognac created from that year’s harvest is set to one side. This is kept for a varying number of years, but may only be sold by future generations.
