Opis
Martell Cordon Bleu Chinese New Year Limited Edition Cognac
This is a great take on the classic Martell Cordon Bleu XO Cognac that has attracted legions of fans since its inception in 1912. The Martell Cordon Bleu Chinese New Year Limited Edition Cognac has been created to coincide with the 2018 Chinese New Year, with a quirky bottle that fits beautifully in with the celebrations. Inspired by the Wishing Tree, where people hang red envelopes with their wishes for the coming year, the bottle design was created by German-born artist Sabrina Transiskus. While the packaging is a limited edition, the contents remaining true to the Martell Cordon Bleu we all know and love: aromatic, characterful, and most of all, a top-quality XO from this iconic Cognac house.
There have been no changes at all to the Cordon Bleu recipe over the last century, demonstrating its timeless quality. The distinctive taste comes from a predominance of eaux-de-vie from the Borderies terroir, the smallest in the Cognac region, which is known for producing Cognacs that have a very specific aroma. With a different clay and flint composition in its soil compared to the other terroirs, the hills of the Borderies are something else indeed. In total, the Cordon Bleu is a symphony of over 150 eaux-de-vie, with a complex array of rich aromas to make it a Cognac that has established itself as legendary.
“The Cordon Bleu Extra is very elegant, subtle. It’s different. It’s meant to be sipped in leisure.”
- Christophe Valtaud, Martell Cellar Master
Presentation of the Bottle
The bottle's elegant profile is typical of Martell, with its gently curved neck decorated with a cordon bleu (blue ribbon). Both the carton and bottle feature the same royal blue hue, with embossed gold vine leaves and red envelopes adding splashes of color.
How to Enjoy Martell Cordon Bleu
Mature, well-rounded, with a bouquet and flavors that evolve delightfully during the taste experience, this is a perfect Cognac to enjoy in the traditional manner - from a tulip glass, gently warmed in the hand and sipped as a digestif after a fine meal.
O Martell Cognac
Martell to najstarszy z domów koniakowych Wielkiej Czwórki. Należy do Pernod Ricard i sprzedaje około 15 milionów litrów rocznie. Najcenniejsze eaux-de-vie, z których niektóre pochodzą z 1830 roku, są przechowywane w tajnym miejscu w piwnicach Jean Martell - około 1,6 miliona 9-litrowych skrzynek!
