The Camus Cognac VSOP Elegance is an Elegant blend of the best terroirs the region has to offer, notably the Borderies terroir. This exquisite, refined and surprisingly smooth VSOP has been distilled in the traditional "on the lees" manner with small copper pot stills.
The Camus VSOP Elegance Cognac is as refined to drink as the name suggests, boasting a rounded fruity nose with nutty notes and a smooth finish of vanilla, caramel and oak on the palate.
Like all Camus' Cognacs, quality and excellence is at the core of its creation. The estate put a particular focus on developing intensely aromatic blends, reaching unparalleled results in terms of intensity. Each element in the process is strictly surveyed, for example, the grapes must be pressed within 2 hours of harvesting. Even when in the cellar, these Elegant Cognacs are exclusively stored in small barrels in order to maximize the contact between the eaux-de-vie and the wood that will give it its intense flavor.
Established in 1863 by Jean-Baptiste Camus, five generations of the family have since followed in his footsteps. The family have worked tirelessly to maintain their legacy while constantly innovating and creating new and carefully crafted Cognacs for connoisseurs across the world.
Camus insists on having an international vision for their brand, and has seen particular success in China and the Asian markets. An independent brand, Camus holds its own against its larger, more aggressive competitors, with the family upholding their values, ambition and drive to create unique Cognacs of a superb, dare we say "Elegant" quality.

Smooth and subtle, it makes the ideal base for a cocktail. If you prefer your Cognac neat however, it can be enjoyed as a delectable digestif, its delicate yet well-rounded flavors make it the perfect ending to a good meal.
The VSOP Elegance bottle is of course, elegant, but equally sleek and stylish. Its unusual round shape and golden details offer a luxurious, feminine feel while proudly displaying an embossed Camus logo on the front, putting the family’s tradition in prime position.
The unapologetically Elegant bottle comes with a cardboard case for presentation, gifting or storage purposes, featuring a stunning glass ceiling as its backdrop.
This is a very pleasant surprise--a VSOP with an excellent, long finish. This Cognac isn't terribly complex, but has a lovely nose in which I detect a nuttiness and trace of dried fruits. On the palate, it hits me nicely with traces of either almonds or hazelnuts, with a vanilla and caramel undertone....
