描述
The Cognac Vieille Réserve Dudognon is a clean and straight Cognac offering a unique taste with notes of apricot, plum and leather. This eaux-de-vie is exclusively made from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the Grande Champagne terroir, a region renowned for its chalky soil, leading to high acidity and exceptional Cognac quality. Vieille Reserve Cognac is distilled over a wood fire and aged in new Limousin oak barrels - all importantly, without any additional sugar, wood or caramel. Age makes all the difference in Grande Champagne and at 20 years old, Vieille Reserve Cognac represents an eaux-de-vie of pure elegance and depth. With its fruity flavours and presence of rancio, a memorable tasting experience is guaranteed.
The house of Dudogne are a family of winegrowers who have been feeding their land for several generations. Whilst Dudogne primarily harvest Ugni Blanc grapes, by taking care of the vines and respecting the fragile balance of soil, they have also reclaimed Folle Blanche and Montils which were abandoned grape varieties, following the phylloxera crisis in Charente around sixty years ago. As a result, this savvy cognac house is able to produce fabulous white wines with a wide aromatic range for distillation.
Presentation of the bottle
The Cognac Vieille Réserve Dudognon arrives in a simple bottle, with a gold embellished logo. Whilst presentation of this Cognac has been kept simple - the sweetness of the eaux-de-vie, with its notes of candied fruit and warm spices, invites you on a tasting experience that is far from plain and simple.
How to Enjoy
The Vieille Réserve is mainly drunk as a digestive. The house of Dudognon recommends serving this particular delicious eaux-de-vie alongside a dessert, pairing with caramel ice cream, plum pie or dark chocolate will not disappoint.

Color: honey On the nose: Feisty, funky and sharp ethanol which clouds the different scents being given off on the nose. I believe this is what the French refer to as rancio. I get different shades of honey, apples & pears followed by dried and candied apricots and hints of melons. In the mouth:...
