Landy XO Excellence Cognac: Harmony of Terroir and Oak

Crafted from a blend of eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois regions, Landy XO Excellence Cognac showcases a stunning balance of aromas and flavors that perfectly combine the elegance of the Champagne terroir with the rustic edge of Fins Bois. It has been aged for a minimum of six years in French oak, during which time it has developed wonderful cedarwood and vanilla notes that give a great maturity to this Cognac. 

Part of the larger company Cognac Ferrand, Landy was founded 1989, was a collaboration between Alexandre Gabriel and a family of traditional winegrowers in the Charente. Cognac Landy was created with the philosophy of bringing a breath of fresh air into the industry but also respecting traditional methods; for this reason, it is produced in the age-old fashion without the use of mass production techniques. By selecting only the best grapes, distilling with care and blending distinct eaux-de-vie from some of Cognac’s finest regions, each bottle ends up being a true expression of the land it came from.

Presentation of the Bottle

Presented in quite an unusual shaped bottle, this is a wonderful Cognac to display on the counter of a drinks cabinet. The multi-faceted glass on the base gently flares out and then narrows into a long, slim neck. The gold medallion on the glass and royal purple foil on the neck stand out perfectly against the shimmering liquid contained within.

How to Enjoy Landy XO Excellence Cognac

The complex tasting notes of this expression are best showcased in a tulip glass. After pouring, allow the Cognac to breathe for 30 seconds to fully concentrate the most delicate aromas before you take a sip. An excellent digestif or accompaniment to chocolate-based desserts.
