Ok, so the old adage is true. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I was excited about finding an xo cognac for approximately $50. Maybe I bought a bad batch or a bottle that had been exposed to sunlight or heat. The nose and the taste is slightly sweet but there is an aftertaste of something I can only describe as a cross between burnt plastic and hot asphalt.
