Описание
Godet Osokyé Single Malt Whisky: a Burst of Smoke and Fruit
Godet Osokyé Single Malt Whisky: a Burst of Smoke and Fruit This French single malt is named after the lot in Lorraine where the Godet family grows their barley. Godet Osokyé Single Malt Whisky Batch 5 is a smoky malt, distilled in an alembic still normally used for Cognac and finished in Moscatel casks to balance out the spirit with a burst of dark fruits. Presented at a natural strength of 40.5%, this full-bodied whisky is complex but superbly drinkable - suited to whisky lovers and Cognac lovers alike.
Founded in 1782, Godet Cognac ranges amongst the oldest Cognac houses. The Godet family has been based in the seaside town and former trading hub La Rochelle for 400 years and since the very beginnings of Cognac production, they have played an important role in perfecting this culture. Cognac Godet has been in the hands of the same family for an astonishing 15 generations, who have placed tradition and excellence at the heart of their business.
The Godet family's expertise in traditional distilling methods results in outstanding whisky and Calvados as well as Cognac - an excellent standing for a family-run company. The business is headed by Godet president Jean-Jacques Godet, assisted by his three sons Jean Eduard, Maxime and Cyril.
Presentation of the Bottle
Classic and simple, Godet Osokyé Single Malt Whisky comes in a short, stout bottle with a large wax-coated stopper. The red and gold label features an image of the French countryside, and each comes with details about this unique batch.
How to Enjoy
The perfect digestif, this is a wonderful single malt whisky to enjoy in good company, on special occasions, and when you have plenty of time to savor the moment. Pour into a tulip glass and wait a few moments to allow the aromas to fully open up. You can also add a couple of drops of water to allow the aromas to open up further.
О Godet Cognac
The house of Godet has been run by the family for 14 generations. It is a perfect example of a cognac house that deeply believes in the tradition of this spirit and its origins. At the same time, Godet manages to move with modern times, having recently created a cognac from a grape that is almost extinct in the cognac industry: Folle Blache. This cognac is called "Antarctica Godet" and was inspired by a 2-month sailing trip to the South Pole.
