Remi Landier Heritage Coupe N°2 Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie sourced solely from the Fins Bois terroir. It's the second edition of this rare blend, originally created to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the house. The average age of all the components is around 40 years, creating a complex and well-rounded palate with excellent notes of rancio. 

The soil of the rather large Fins Bois growing area contains smaller patches of chalk that are less porous than that which is found in other crus, producing eaux-de-vie that are full-bodied, supple and fruity. Deep in color, this expression offers a superb sensory journey from the moment you set eyes on it, with a myriad of fruit and herbal notes that show just how outstanding a well-aged Fins Bois Cognac can be. 

Realizing the uniqueness of their terroir and their eaux-de-vie, Remi Landier and his sons created their eponymous brand of Cognac in 1973. Most of the liquid produced here is sent to some of the largest trading houses in Cognac, which means only a small quantity is bottled under the family’s own label. For this reason, Remi Landier has long been appreciated among connoisseurs. Today, Jean-Yves and Geraldine, the fourth and fifth generation of producers, offer a full range of Cognacs as well as Pineaux des Charentes.

Presentation of the Bottle

Reminiscent of a Charentais still, the bottle features a bulbous shape and a long neck topped with a natural wood stopper wrapped in a wire cage.

This outstanding Hors d’Age Cognac is one for the tulip glass. During the summer months, it might be suitable to add a cube of ice. For the ultimate tasting experience, pair with rich fruity desserts such as tropical fruit sorbet, or simply enjoy with a cigar late into the evening.
