De Luze XO Fine Champagne

Amber with bright copper highlights. First nose is fruity and floral with the floral notes becoming stronger over time. Spicy sweet, seems stronger than 40%, their recommendation, “is best over ice” is probably accurate. Best part is the lengthy and tasty finish.

In larger houses, the gap between their VSOP and their XO can be really huge, let's see… Colour: deep gold. Nose: the core is rather similar (apples, pears and gooseberries) but there's more depth, more flowers (wisteria, dandelions, lilies) and many more honeys, heather, clover, even manuka…...

This cognac is a scotch lovers delight. It has numerous flavors and robust presence. But I am not a fan. I prefer my cognacs smoother and soft. If you like a hardy cognac then this might be for you.

I really liked it, but it was a bit too sweet/floral for my tastes. I still prefer Remy Martin XO or Tesseron no.53

This is a great XO Cognac in every way. The presentation is very well done, on par with the XO's from the big houses. The nose is very fruity and sweet, with a woody and leathery backbone, very interesting and ever changing. The palate arrives with spice, a lot less sweetness than the nose would have...

I’m relatively new to Cognac, but this is among my favorites. Subtle hints of fruit on the nose and palate. Very smooth with a long, wonderful finish. Still yet to try it on ice!

Rich orange citrus i erodes, mild sweetness then a hit of the orange warms across the tongue and mouth, finishing on long mild wood and plum tastes.. A wonderful Cognac that in my opinion beats my bold favourite Hennessy XO.. yes I have said it and now put into print .. I prefer the flavours and aromas...
