This blend is a mix of different eaux-de-vie from different growing areas of the region. The traditional ageing process in barrels allows a very characteristic taste and color development. The historic cellars of the house of Fussigny are situated by the bank of the Charentes river, making its cellcars humid and perfect for matureing cognac. Once distilled, the eaux-de-vie age in Limousin and Troncaus oak casks.

Cognac after 4 yr absence

I like it, for me the black tea flavors are at the front, orange and or orange peel then a floral finish that lasts. At the price I bought 2 btls so I’ll be enjoying for some time.

A de Fussigny Selection is an OK, entry-level, VS cognac. Selection falls between VS and VSOP, though, it's closer to VSOP than to VS. About A de Fussigny Cognac

A de Fussigny cognacs are beautifully elaborated in the company’s own distillery, founded in 1814 in the historical center of Cognac, France, on the banks of the Charente River. The river proximity creates a perfect hygrometry in the cellars and accordingly excellent aging conditions. The house hallmark is to combine traditional elaboration methods with a very modern and innovative packaging and brand image. The proximity to the river make for perfect hygrometry and allows the aromas of the to unfold. The product design is extremely different to that of traditional cognacs, the information on the cognac, such as age, name, percentage etc. is handwritten on the label, which makes it very personal.
