La Grange du Bois Cognac is a small, artisan house that has vineyards covering the Fins Bois and Petite Champagne terroir. Focusing mainly on producing wines, the house also has two Charantais alambic stills to produce cognac in the time honored, traditional manner.

The house of La Grange du Bois has been in existance since 1727. Until the year 1996, all the harvesting of grapes was still carried out by hand. For the past 60 years the house has been in the hands of the Cartais-Lamaure family, and remains so today.
Today the house continues to distill eaux-de-vie in the traditional manner used over the centuries. The wines are distilled in traditional Charantais alambic stills and aged in Limousin oak barrels. They produce a range of cognacs and pineau des Charentes which they directly market to the public.
