Description
Tesseron Lot N°29 XO Exception Cognac
Tesseron Lot N°29 XO Exception Cognac is the prized jewel within the Tesseron collection. It is exceptional in its unique blend of Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche grapes, all harvested exclusively within the superior region of Grande Champagne in 1929. This outstanding spirit combines Tesseron’s finest and rarest eaux-de-vie stocks, which have then been lovingly aged for at least three generations in Limousin oak casks to give it the powerful aftertaste and amber glow that is so typical of a decadent and well-aged Cognac.
Founded in 1905 by Abel Tesseron, the Tesseron House is still managed by the family today, three generations on. Since its creation, the brand has come to be known for its excellence due to Abel Tesseron collecting large stocks of eaux-de-vie and conserving them in a twelfth-century crypt. His Cognac collection became renowned amongst connoisseurs and was also sought out by large Cognac producers who were eager to complete their blend with Tesseron’s esteemed eaux-de-vie. The family now has an exquisite collection of exceptionally well-aged Cognacs, which are almost exclusively of XO and beyond quality.
Presentation of the bottle:
A classic cognacaise bottle with wax seal, presented in a sophisticated amber colour box that reflects the hue of the spirit.

Exceptional cognac
This one is extraordinary cognac. Appearance - light amber color. Looks quite light for it's age but very noble. Smell - fruity and floral (smell is not my strongest sense unfortunately). Pallate - brilliant. My personal feeling - warm wave that goes from mouth till the ends of fingers and toes....
About Tesseron Cognac
Tesseron Cognac specializes in high-end Cognac, exclusively producing “XO and beyond” blends from their ancestral home in Chateauneuf-sur-Charente, which lies between Cognac and Angouleme. When founder Abel Tesseron, whose face features on the company’s logo, acquired the property in the late 19th century, he patiently conserved his stocks of eaux-de-vie in the 12th-century crypt located deep underneath the domain, selling his matured masterpieces to various larger Cognac houses. These reserved and rare stocks have become legendary amongst Cognac connoisseurs the world over. It was, however, only in 2003 that the fourth generation of Tesserons made the decision to release a range under their own name, armed with an unrivalled Cognac craftsmanship and fueled by the legacy left by their grandfather, the iconic brand Tesseron Cognac was born.
The Tesserons are also active in wine production, owning the esteemed Chateau Pontet-Canet, a Pauillac classified property producing Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux Wine.
