Growth area & soil: Grande Champagne
Tesseron Lot N° 65 XO Emotion
Tesseron Lot N° 65 Emotion is an exquisite XO Cognac made from a blend of 15 Cognacs produced using Ugni Blanc grapes grown exclusively in the premier terroir of Grande Champagne. The oldest Cognac in the blend was distilled in 1965, as the name suggests, and the Cognac as a whole has been aged for a minimum of 50 years in French Limousin oak barrels, kept securely in damp ancient cellars. This is a stunning Cognac that you can expect to find at the most sophisticated of dinner occasions.
Tesseron was founded in 1905 by Abel Tesseron and continues to be managed by the family today, three generations on. The brand has become renowned for its excellence since its inception due to Abel Tesseron adopting a policy of collecting large stocks of eaux-de-vie and conserving them in a twelfth-century crypt. The Cognac collection gained a prestigious reputation amongst connoisseurs, and was also sought out by large Cognac producers who were eager to complete their blends with Tesseron’s esteemed eaux-de-vie. The family now has an exceptional collection of very well-aged Cognacs, which are almost exclusively of XO and beyond quality.
Presentation of the bottle
Lot N° 65 Emotion is part of Tesseron’s “The Gift Collection” and comes presented in an opulent decanter, encased in a beautifully refined gift box.
The elegant decanter has broad shoulders so as to best display the liquid gold held within and a solid, carefully cut stopper that sits gracefully at the head of this ornate bottle. The gift box is a radiant amber colour, highlighting the colour of the Cognac itself and has wardrobe-style doors that open out to gloriously display the decanter.

About Tesseron Cognac
Tesseron Cognac specializes in high-end Cognac, exclusively producing “XO and beyond” blends from their ancestral home in Chateauneuf-sur-Charente, which lies between Cognac and Angouleme. When founder Abel Tesseron, whose face features on the company’s logo, acquired the property in the late 19th century, he patiently conserved his stocks of eaux-de-vie in the 12th-century crypt located deep underneath the domain, selling his matured masterpieces to various larger Cognac houses. These reserved and rare stocks have become legendary amongst Cognac connoisseurs the world over. It was, however, only in 2003 that the fourth generation of Tesserons made the decision to release a range under their own name, armed with an unrivalled Cognac craftsmanship and fueled by the legacy left by their grandfather, the iconic brand Tesseron Cognac was born.
The Tesserons are also active in wine production, owning the esteemed Chateau Pontet-Canet, a Pauillac classified property producing Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux Wine.
