Description
Rome de Bellegarde XO Limited Edition Cognac
Crafted from an impeccable blend of six eaux-de-vie, the Rome de Bellegarde XO Limited Edition Cognac is a rare expression that is sure to delight any connoisseur. Only Ugni Blanc sourced from the Grand Champagne appellations in Cognac have been used for this Cognac, resulting in a delicate balance of spicy and tannic notes enriched with soft hints of vanilla. The initial maturation is undertaken in new casks for 3-5 years, before the eaux-de-vie is moved to traditional oak barrels for up to 30 years, resulting in a richness and complexity rarely found anywhere else in the world. Needless to say, this surpasses the aging requirement that’s typical of an XO Cognac by one or two decades.
Rome de Bellegarde may be new to making Cognac, but they have firmly placed themselves is the market as producers of super-premium releases, including this exquisite XO. Four cousins run the company together, and while they immerse themselves in the world of luxury spirits, they never lose sight of the Bellegarde family’s dedication to social change. Rome De Bellegarde is currently involved in helping to reduce malnutrition, reduce gender inequality, creating more employment and educational programs for minorities in developed countries, as well as wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment.

Presentation of the Bottle
The liquid is encased in an elegant glass decanter, decorated with the signature emblem of Rome de Bellegarde. The bottle features a wide profile and a large crystal stopper. Designed in honor of King Francis’s motto ‘Nutrisco et extinguo’ (I nourish and I extinguish), the mythical salamander imprinted on the glass is a symbol of changing times - promising hope, courage and prosperity in the midst of blackened flames.
How to Enjoy Rome de Bellegarde XO Cognac
Global Brand Director and Sommelier Dimitri Nalin recommend this expression to be enjoyed “after a good meal, never with ice, but sometimes paired with a cigar as the sweet and spiciness of charred smoke really complements the delicate flavours.”
About Rome de Bellegarde Cognac
Descended from a line of Cognac-producing gentry and tied together by a name, four cousins decided to regroup in 2016 and make the life-changing decision for their family legacy to be known to the world. Focusing on the super-premium drinks market and making headlines with their Cognacs - some of the most expensive in the world - the people behind Rome de Bellegarde are nevertheless as committed to striving for social change as they are to making luxurious spirits.
