The Prunier XO Carafe Cognac has been aged for arond 15 years, and this is wonderfully apparant on all of the senses. The color is taking on the deep, golden brown tones of a well-matured eaux-de-vie; the nose delights in its complexity, and of course, tones of rancio on the palate make this a Cognac to savor and enjoy.
For such a great quality Cognac this offers superb value for money - it really is a superb staple XO to own. Enjoy neat, perhaps warmed in your hand - or, for the adventurous, why not drop in a rock or two of ice for a subtle alteration of the tasting experience? Whatever way you enjoy your Cognac, this one pleases in so many ways. In addition to the contents, the decanter itself is pleasing to the eye as welll. All in all, a great all round Cognac.

Tasting review by Prunier Cognac:
Color: Gold brown, shiny.
Nose: Nice complex nose in dried fruits (nuts, fresh hazelnuts) and in beeswax. Nice note of beginning of rancio. Beautiful tones dominated by Grande Champagne (30% of the assembly).
Palate: Mouth dominated by hazelnut, butter. Finish slightly "toastée".
Steeped in tradition, Cognac Prunier is a family run firm with cellars in the heart of the town of Cognac. The house does not own its own vineyards, instead, they buy the eaux-de-vie directly from supplying vine growers and distillers each year, and then carry out the ageing process in their own cellars.
