Eye: Amber with beautiful mahogany reflections

Nose: Pronounced intensity characteristic of old Cognacs which gives way to notes of dried apricot, candied fruit and aged oak.

Palate: Spices such as pepper, curry are refined. Notes of toasted wood, leather and rancio, characteristic of old Cognacs, are present and well developed. The integration of wood with the aromas of candied fruit is perfectly sublimated. This Cognac of character is softened by its roundness and asserts itself by a length held in the mouth with a very tasty finish.

Prulho XO Fregate Cognac

Prulho XO Fregate Cognac is a mature blend of high-quality eaux-de-vie and rare Cognac gem revealing complex flavors characteristic of old, well-developed eaux-de-vie. The perfect Cognac choice for the autumnal months - delicate notes of pepper, curry and underlying nuances of dried fruits are finished with an oaky dominance throughout the tasting. Its stunning decanter makes this XO a delightful gift to Cognac enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.

Second-generation owner Robert Prulho and his son Richard have dedicated their lives to pursuing their passion for excellent Cognac. Their hard work has undoubtedly paid off, walking away with numerous awards, including gold medals from the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the Citadelles du Vin. Without a doubt, they benefit from their in-depth knowledge of distilling equipment - they come from a family of still makers whose copper stills are used by Cognac producers all over the region.

With the knowledge accumulated over generations about the importance of perfect distillation, the ripening process and flawless blending, the Prulho family are sure to continue going from strength to strength.

Presentation of the bottle

Presented in a stunning carafe developed by the house of Prulho, the bottle design features a futuristic and artistic stopper. It forms a precious, one-of-a-kind creation worth cherishing. The shapes and design inspired Maison Prulho to name the Cognac "Fregate", which recalls the great voyages around the world and symbolizes the spirit of Cognac. This bottle contains eaux-de-vie of rare and exceptional quality – characterized by its unique and singular aromatic profile and a continuous length in the mouth. It is a very beautiful collector's item, individual and available in limited quantities.

How to enjoy

The house of Prulho recommends drinking this Cognac dream in its purest form - neat at room temperature. Pour into a tulip glass to allow the arrival or aromas to distribute evenly and with delicate precision. To prolong the tasting even further, this oaky offering pairs perfectly with a cigar of your choice.
