Eye: Glimmering antique amber.

Nose: Initially, a union of almond and gingerbread. After a while, a mature bouquet develops, with inimitable notes of candied citrus fruit, vanilla wood and spices.

Palate: The complex flavors develop slowly in the glass: spicy, tannic, tropical and woody, this is a treat for the senses.

Description

Prince Hubert de Polignac XO Royal Cognac: a Noble Indulgence

Originally released in 2011, this is a voluptuous blend of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, aged for a minimum of ten years in French oak. Indulgent and harmonious, the Prince Hubert de Polignac XO Royal Cognac reveals candied citrus fruits and vanilla wood aromas, subtly enhanced by roasted and spicy notes - a beautiful combination of the two finest growing regions of Cognac.

Prince Hubert de Polignac Cognac is named after one of France's oldest noble families, members of which include Cardinal De Polignac (French ambassador in Poland and Rome in the 17th century), Countess Yolande de Polignac - a personal friend of Marie Antoinette - and Prince Jules de Polignac, a cabinet minister under Charles X. It was their descendant, Prince Hubert de Polignac, who eventually allowed the Cognac producer Mounier to use his name for one of their bottlings in 1947. After the trademark was registered, the Prince himself took to travelling the world to promote the brand, sealing its association with royalty, adventure and luxury.
