Description
Martell XO Grande Champagne Single Cru Collection Cognac
Martell XO Grande Champagne Cognac is a blend from the prestigious Grande Champagne terroirs also called the 1er cru. Crafted by Christophe Valtaud, it boasts aged eaux-de-vie, showcasing power, structure, and an evolution of complex flavors.
Christophe Valtaud selected the eaux-de-vie personally. For him it was important to make sure that this cognac is predominantly one of power and structure. With older eaux-de-vie, this cognac is enriched with notes of nuts and dried fruit, as well as overtones of wood, reaching a perfect balance between power and fruitiness.
Presentation of the bottle
The Martell Single Cru XXO Borderies Cognac is presented in a bottle with a daring, contemporary design that reflects its bold and charismatic personality. The striking arch of its bottle is instantly identifiable, the map of the different crus shown on the bottle with the Grande Champagne region highlighted in silver.
How to drink
To fully appreciate the intricate flavors and aromas, Martell Single Cru XXO Borderies Cognac is best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water at room temperature. Pour it into a tulip glass, swirl gently, and let it sit for a moment before savoring its bouquet and taste. This method allows the cognac to express its full range of sensory experiences.
About Martell Cognac
Martell is the oldest of the Big Four Cognac houses. Similar to Rémy Martin, but a few years older still, not long ago did Martell celebrate its 300-year anniversary. The history of Martell & Co dates back to 1715 when Jean Martell founded the company with the wish to produce only the highest quality in Cognac. With the legendary bottles Martell Cordon Bleu, the cuvée Martell Extra L’Or de Jean Martell and the recent Création Grand Extra from 2007, the company strongly implanted itself in the luxury goods market, and are famous for using large amounts of eaux-de-vie from the Borderies terroir. It belongs to Pernod Ricard and has sales of around 15 million liters every year. The most precious eaux-de-vie, some of which date back to 1830, are stored in a secret location in the cellars of Jean Martell - approximately 1.6 million 9-liter cases!
