Description
Cognac Marancheville L'Exemplaire N°3 - Grande Champagne
The third edition to the limited edition series ‘L’Exemplaire’, the Cognac Marancheville L’Exemplaire N°3 is a fine example of the passion and expertise that this Cognac house puts into each and every one of its bottles. A limited-edition Cognac that is made entirely with eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne, it consists of just 98 barrels that have been carefully chosen from the Marancheville cellar.
Produced in very small quantities, it is an XO Cognac aged for a quarter of a century in humid cellars and oak barrels. Journeying to the heart of the old Marancheville family reserves, the No.3 Cognac is remarkably delicate, complex and silky.
The L’Exemplaire range symbolizes Marancheville’s passion for unique Cognacs - and this third edition is no exception.
The unique environment of the Grande Champagne, in particular, the high chalk content of the soil, is the perfect place for growing Cognac grapes. This cru, also known as the “Premier Cru” is perfectly positioned so as to absorb as much sunlight as possible during the sunnier months, but also benefits from a subsoil that can drain particularly easily. Cognacs from this region typically take longer to mature, but once they have reached maturity, certainly deliver.
Enjoying a Cognac blend from Marancheville can only mean immersing oneself in the elegance and power of this highly-esteemed Cognac terroir. Their philosophy is simple - one does not have to be a Cognac connoisseur to appreciate a good Cognac.
The other bottles in this collection include the Marancheville L’Exemplaire No.1 and No.2.
Presentation of the bottle
There is no image available, however the Cognac has been bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl decanter. It is likely that it will arrive in a stylish tasting bottle, with a simple white label with precise information about when it was bottled. A tasteful, “craft” style bottle.
How to serve
Enjoy this Cognac neat, at room temperature, or over ice for something a bit different.
