Description
Louis Royer Cognac XO - The Critically Acclaimed XO That’s Got Everyone Talking
The esteemed and renowned house of Louis Royer have been recognized worldwide for the quality of their Cognacs, and their XO is a prime of example of why they are considered expert craftsmen in their field. The stunning Louis Royer XO contains a blend of eaux-de-vie that are far older than the required 10 year minimum age.
Described by Louis Royer as a "symphony of aromas and flavors" this Cognac features a melodic blend of floral, fruity, spicy and woody notes, all working in perfect harmony to play a sensational song on your senses.
Each aroma seamlessly succeeds the next and your tastebuds will be treated to a new and intense flavor throughout your tasting experience. As you can see, the Louis Royer XO has received countless prestigious international awards year after year, and is one of the most celebrated Cognacs in their collection.
Described as a "liquid masterpiece", its red-golden jewel color is a testament to its quality and class. The estate was founded in 1853 and is located on the banks of the Charente River in the legendary town of Jarnac. The seal featured on their products, a bee, represents the diligence, efficiency, and organization that goes into their craft.
Like a worker bee, Louis Royer master blenders are craftsmen in the purest form. Louis Royer Cognacs are produced in the most traditional way, ensuring the heritage of their ancestors is preserved and respected with every blend they masterfully create.
Double distilled in copper stills, the Cognacs are then left to age in a specially selected series of French Limousin Oak casks until they are blended with some of the oldest stocks of their "Paradis" cellar.
This particular XO boasts a blend of eaux-de-vie from various crus, including Grande and Petite Champagne as well as the Borderies and Fins Bois, this precise art of blending is used to achieve the rich yet subtle structure that has made this XO so celebrated by connoisseurs the world over. In a wonderfully complex array of aromas, the first nose opens onto dried fruits, citrus, cocoa and oak with hints of leather and tobacco.
Its truly special rancio character can be enhanced with a touch of water to reveal a more intense selection of scents to satisfy your senses. The XO boasts a refined palate, with notes of pear, vanilla, cream, cocoa, nutmeg and cinnamon, with whispers of oak, leather and blod tobacco. The finish is seductively long.
