Eye: A glamorous golden sheen.

Nose: A harmonious blend of bitter orange, almond and dried fruits. A lively nose, dominated by scents of wood and spice.

Palate: An amble mouth with generous complements of woody and spicy notes as a result of ageing in oak barrels. A medium finish that fades into oak and leather.

Description

Laurent Jouffe XO Prince Alain Murat Cognac

The descendant of the very famous Napoleonic general Joachim Murat, Prince Alain Murat decided to honour his ancestry with a fine and elegant product that would reflect his history. As a soldier and rider, courage and temerity were harnessed with a flask of Cognac situated on either side of the belt of the Napoleonic uniform. To complement this tradition and pride, Alain Murat partnered with Laurent Jouffee to develop a Cognac of elegance and finesse in Murat’s great honour.

In the principle of this brave man, and the memory of the soldiers who fought alongside him, the "Prince Alain Murat, le Cognac des Cavaliers" was born. Translating to the horseriders, the family tradition was embodied with excellence in this Cognac. Encompassing the sense of history, the palate complements the story with its oak and leather tone. A beautiful ode to the period of a great soldier.

Presentation of the bottle

A royal dress to honour a noble soldier, this bottle is grand in its design. A teardrop shape, with a fine gold lid and shield labelling, its historic heritage is immediately evident. Representative of its period, whilst simultaneously encapsulating the sheer brilliance it still represents today. Housed in a black box to express its superiority and importance.

How to enjoy

A fine blend representative of noble ancestry, this blend is best enjoyed with slow sips to allow its honour to be fully appreciated. As an XO, it lends well to a post-dinner tipple, or to be placed in a long drink that is able to be savoured. Perfectly paired with cheese, meats and coco.
