Eye: Deep amber.

Nose: Aromas of roasted nectarines, ripe apricots and succulent melon inspire the lingering first sip, while orange resin, oak and vanilla give it a mature feel.

Palate: Beautifully expressing the fruity flavours characteristic of the white wines produced from Charente vines. Ginger, chocolate, orange and oak slowly fade into a finish of dried fruits.

Description

Hine XO 1er Cru Grande Champagne Cognac

Introducing the Hine XO 1er Cru Grande Champagne Cognac, a distinguished blend crafted exclusively from eaux-de-vie sourced from the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious of the Cognac crus. This XO Cognac is a true reflection of the exceptional terroir and 260 years of expertise behind the House of Hine and is created only to celebrate the new range of Hine.

Masterfully created by Hine’s Cellar Masters, Eric Forget and Paul Szersnovicz, this Cognac has been aged for over a decade in French oak barrels to achieve a perfect harmony of flavors and aromas. On the nose, it reveals delicate notes of dried apricot, vanilla, and honey, balanced by subtle hints of oak and spice. The palate is rich and velvety, offering flavors of ripe fruits, toffee, and a touch of ginger, with a long, elegant finish that lingers with a touch of sweetness and soft spice.

Presentation of the bottle

The Hine XO decanter is a beautifully designed, faceted bottle with a luxurious, amber-colored cognac showcased through its elegant, crystalline structure. The front of the decanter is adorned with a gold and red label, featuring the Hine logo and a golden deer motif, which is the symbol of the brand. The decanter's cap is a bold red with gold accents, adding a touch of regality to the overall presentation.

The box accompanying the decanter is an exquisite display piece in itself. It features a rich red and gold color scheme, matching the decanter's design, with the Hine logo and deer emblem prominently displayed on the front. When opened, the box reveals intricate illustrations of the Hine distillery and the cognac-making process, giving the customer a deeper connection to the heritage and craftsmanship of the brand. The luxurious packaging not only protects the decanter but also elevates the unboxing experience, making it an ideal gift or collector's item.

How to drink

This exceptional XO Cognac is best enjoyed neat in a tulip glass, allowing its complex aromas to open up. Let the Cognac rest for a few moments before sipping to fully appreciate its depth. For an enhanced experience, pair it with fine dark chocolate or a quality cigar. Whether shared during special moments or savored slowly on its own, Hine XO 1er Cru offers a truly refined tasting experience.

About Hine Cognac

Located in the heart of the Grande Champagne, the premium wine growing area of the Cognac region, the house of Hine has been producing some of the most exquisite Cognacs for six generations, when it was better known as T Hine & Co Cognac. The estate boasts an exceptional 173 acres of vineyards, and the house has a very special tradition of producing relatively small quantities - but with a very high standard in quality. One of their trademarks is to store their vintage casks in damp cellars in Bristol, England. This way, the Thomas Hine Cognac goes through a uniquely different ageing process due to the humidity of the seaside town, which differs somewhat to that of the southwestern coast of France. These highly priced vintage bottles are called “Hine Early-Landed Vintage Cognac”.
