Description
Hermitage Cacao 25 Cognac
The Hermitage Cacao 25 Cognac is the oldest member of the distinguished Hermitage Cognac Trilogy, which also includes Cigar 15 and Café 20. This exceptional Cognac is naturally aged for 25 years and free from artificial additives, coloring, and sugars. Produced from the Ugni Blanc grape, grown in the Grande Champagne region, Cognac’s premier cru, it undergoes meticulous distillation in small stills followed by a long natural aging process in oak casks.
The Trilogy range is first matured in new Limousin French oak barrels for around six months before being transferred to older casks for the remainder of their aging process. This method enhances the richness and complexity of the Cognacs, resulting in a refined fusion of flavors that exemplifies premier cru excellence.
Hermitage Cacao 25 offers initial aromas of dark chocolate that complement a wonderful complexity of balanced flavors, including wild cherries, bay leaves, ginger, honey, and a long, orange marmalade finish. With an ABV of 43%, this Cognac is an ideal digestif after a long dinner, making it perfect for those who appreciate a luxurious and sophisticated drinking experience.
The Trilogy range pays homage to the 19th-century café culture in France when Cognac was often enjoyed with dark coffees, sweetmeats, and pastries.
Presentation of the bottle
The Hermitage Cacao 25 Cognac is elegantly presented in a beautifully designed 70cl bottle, capturing the essence of French café culture and the elegance of the 19th-century lifestyle. The packaging reflects the timeless appeal and artistic spirit inspired by Pierre-August Renoir.
