Tasting Notes

A golden amber colour resulting from the absorption of the tannins of the oak ageing barrels. Floral aromas with hints of toast and cinnamon. The XO Gold & Blue is a subtle, round and harmonious Cognac.

Gautier Cognac is amongst the oldest cognac houses, with a very unique location. Gautier is based in Aigre on the Osme river, and ages in an 18th century water mill. Aigre is also referred to as the "Little Venice" of Charente. The proximity to the water and the resulting humidity and temperature in the cellars gives the cognac a recognizable taste. This cognac house unites ancient history with a modern view on the cognac market. It caters both professional cognac connoisseurs and aficionados as well as younger consumers that like to experiment with cognac and try out new and trendy cocktails.

I agree with Rodolphe, and also it's totally tricky to USE the bottle! the cognac splashes our of the bottle, uncontrolled... not a good product I'd say.

I tasted this cognac, also the Pinar Del Rio Cigar Cognac at http://www.cognac-expert.com/xo-cognac/gautier-pinar-del-rio-cigar-xo-cognacI think this gold & blue xo is really bad.. there is far too much sweet stuff in the mouth, and then abruptly ends. If you like sugared brandy, you will love this one..
