The Cognac Frapin Cigar Blend XO is a distinguished expression from the esteemed Frapin family, crafted exclusively from their Grande Champagne vineyards. This XO quality Cognac is a single estate reserve, made from eaux-de-vie grown on the Frapin Estate.
Distilled over lees and aged longer-than-normal aging (XO being aged for a minimum of 10 years) in humid cellars, this Cognac offers roundness and a rich, heavy mouthfeel. The aging process in Limousin oak barrels imparts subtle vanilla notes, enhancing its complexity.
On the nose, it reveals mellow notes of vanilla and dried fruits, such as walnuts and hazelnuts, thanks to extended aging in new oak barrels. The palate is balanced and rich, with a discreet vanilla note from the wood tannins. The harmonious bouquet reveals lasting flavors of spices, dried fruits, and rancio, offering an exceptionally long finish where all the flavors combine in subtle, complex harmony.
