Description
Francois Peyrot XO Carafe Cognac
In the classic style of this producer, Francois Peyrot XO Carafe Cognac has been produced with absolutely no chemical involvement whatsoever - and that includes the preparation of the land, the vines, and distillation of the eaux-de-vie. The grapes for this blend were grown on the Francois Peyrot estate in Grande Champagne and it has been matured in their cellars for over 25 years - much longer than is required for an XO expression. As such, we’d say this is exceptional value for money for such a quality of Premier Cru Cognac.
For over 20 years, the family-run House of Francois Peyrot has shunned any artificial involvement, ensuring that no chemicals were used to aid or enhance the growth of their 25 hectares of vines. It is this attention to detail that upholds quality from the very start of the process to the end, producing wine and Cognac the way Mother Nature intended. They may be a small producer by Cognac standards, but the House of François Peyrot is certainly setting trends far ahead of many of the more well-known producers.
Presentation of the Bottle
The heavy decanter features a round profile and heavy base, suitably luxurious both in the hand and on the shelf. An oversized gold stopper and round gold label give it just another hint of luxury.
How to Enjoy Francois Peyrot XO Cognac
This is a Cognac to savor slowly. Enjoy it neat, perhaps warmed in your hand on a cold winter’s night - or, on a warmer day, why not drop in some ice for a subtly different tasting experience. We recommend trying it after dinner, served with a hot espresso or a medium-bodied cigar, such as a Romeo y Julieta.
