Eye: A deep rich amber color.

Nose: A complex and round nose.

Palate: A sweet and suave palate with a supple and generous richness that mixes notes of wood and quince with a slight note of leather and vanilla. The finish is round and greedy and reminds us of this Cognac's great maturity.

Description

Domaine du Chêne Jean Doussoux XO Héritage Cognac

Domaine du Chêne Jean Doussoux XO Héritage Cognac is a rich and sophisticated blend of eaux-de-vie carrying aromas of wood, leather and vanilla. With its mature age of at least 10 years old, you’ll be kindly reminded of its complexity due to age upon tasting. Relive this Cognacs history as it takes you on a sensory journey through the senses sip after sip.

The house of Jean Doussoux is currently fronted by Jean-Marie Baillif and his team, who work in the spirit of permanent reconciliation of tradition and modernity. In doing so, this brand practises sustainable viticulture and for more than 15 years now has been taking environmental issues into account through the development of its products. Jean Doussoux is now HVE (High Environmental Value) Level III certified for our Pineaux and Cognacs.

Presentation of the bottle

Dressed in a square-formed decanter with smooth edges that curve on the corners alongside a heavy base - this elegant bottle is sure to sit proudly in even the most discerning of connoisseurs' collections.

How to enjoy

The aromatic intensity of this XO is best appreciated at the end of a meal. Be sure to take your time in order to soak the experience and get the most out of the tasting. We recommend drinking an XO of such fine quality, neat, or on the rocks. Sip and savour its rich flavors as they elegantly evolve across the palate.

About Domaine du Chêne

Located at the heart of the Romanesque Saintonge province is Domaine du Chêne, which has remained a family estate for several generations since Jean-Baptiste Doussoux bought his first still in 1865.

The vineyard now covers 80 hectares growing several different grapes, including rare and old varieties like the Folle Blanche, among other classic varieties such as the Ugni Blanc.

The vineyards themselves are over 80 years old and today produce a range of bespoke products including their "Domaine du Chêne" range and Cognac "Jean Doussoux".
