Description
XO "Exception" Domaine de Chateau Guynot 70cl
Yet another award winning treasure from this bespoke Cognac house - Domaine de Chateau Guynot XO “Excéption” Cognac. So what makes this Cognac truly exceptional? Aged for a minimum of 10 years, it has reached the balance of perfect maturity. Round and refined in flavor and aroma, it is a delicate beauty that arrives in a truly stunning decanter.
Situated between Saintes, a Gallic-Roman village and Royan is the Domaine de Chateau Guynot, the former home of the Marquis de Monconseil. The history of this Cognac house is still very much prevalent - the cooling room which dates back to the eighteenth century, stands at the heart of the domain in a wooded park. In one of the four main Cognac terroirs, they grow Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes for their high-quality bottles of Cognac.
The chateau distills their Cognac by the process of double distillation in traditional alembic stills. The aging process takes place in oak barrels, in the quietness of their cellars.
XO Exception Awards
- Gold Medal in 2016 - Concours des Vignerons Indépendants de France
- Bronze in 2008 - Concours des Vignerons Indépendants de France
Presentation of the decanter
This decanter arrives in either a tall, slim and elegant bottle, or a showstopping round decanter with a gold stopper.
