Eye: Honey amber.

Nose: Exuberant despite its older age, with intense and assertive aromas that are simultaneously tender, and therefore irresistible. Power of perfume, with a lengthy fragrance to its character. This stunning Cognac strikes a balance perfectly between maturity of the bouquet, and a lightness. Aromas of spices and flowers give way to more complex scents of undergrowth, raisins, vanilla, licorice, and honey in a rancio.

Palate: A full, voluptuous palate with deep maturity and extreme mellowness. The fruitiness is intense and complex. The aromas are assertive, yet tender. The finish is exquisitely balanced, with each one of its qualities perfectly matched by its exact opposite.

Description

A Grande Champagne Cognac aged for the maximum that a Cognac can be

Named for its venerable status, the maximum age to which Cognac can be matured, this exclusive Cognac house present Delamain Le Tres Vénéré Cognac, made entirely with Ugni Blanc grapes from the Grande Champagne. It is the most complete expression of the art of Cognac making.

It is considered to the Cognac with a character most marked by the gifts of time and patience. This is a superior blend of extremely old Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie which have been aged fully to be able to express their full aromatic potential.

This is a truly noble Cognac which is perfect for the connaisseur - it is incredibly delicate, but yet with rich flavor and aroma. Its Premier Cru status means that it has mastered the art of length, full maturity and mellowness.

Each of the eaux-de-vie from the highly coveted Grande Champagne terroir is kept separately during the aging process in well-aged Limousin oak.

Following the maturation period, casks are blended together by the Cellar Master based on their quality. Once blended, the Cognac is aged for another two years, which is a process otherwise known as ‘le mariage’.

How to enjoy Delamain Tres Vénéré

This is a Cognac for the connaisseur, with its impeccable balance and nuances in aroma that are both assertive, yet softly tender.

Enjoy this Cognac neat and at room temperature to experience the full aromatic development on both the nose and palate.

Presentation of the bottle

A classic bottle, slightly shorter in length and wider on the body to really showcase the amber of the eaux-de-vie. It has a “wax” stamp etched into the glass itself, and simple, elegant labeling with a Delamain blue finish. The presentation sleeve makes this the perfect gift; it is stylish and beautiful.

About Delamain Cognac

With an incredibly old family tradition, Delamain Cognac (et Cie) makes for an exciting Cognac house with roots dating back to the early 1600s! The family tree couldn't be more complicated, and yet the Delamain brand has managed to survive since its creation in 1762. This is a Cognac house that is unapologetic when it comes to quality, selecting only the very best from its suppliers in order to create its own exclusive Grande Champagne products. With the British aristocracy having influenced the Delamains for generations, their Cognacs such as Delamain Le Voyage, Tres Venerable, and the Grande Champagne Vesper - are authentically catered for blue blood!
