Description
Delamain Christmas Cognac
The Delamain Christmas XO Cognac is a very old blend of eaux-de-vie that has been carefully selected from the Grande Champagne: Premier Cru. As it is an XO blend the oldest component of this luxurious Cognac spent at least 30 years maturing in century-old casks that stand shoulder to shoulder, nestled within Delamain’s “liquid library of history”. As it’s a Christmas special Cognac, it shines proud as a limited edition; that should be shared and enjoyed in the company of family and friends during the holiday season.
For more than two centuries, the House of Delamain has established itself as the guardian of Cognac’s time-honoured traditions, preserving a philosophy and approach to the making of Cognac which defies change and embraces the accumulated wisdom of Delamain’s generations. Today, as inheritors of these traditions, the Delamain team work with art and patience to craft Cognacs that have no earthly rival.
Description of the bottle
Presented in a luxurious, heavy based decanter, this Cognac oozes elegance, which of course makes it the perfect gift idea for someone who lavishes in the finer things in life. The traditionally festive design of the Limited Edition Cognac will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside before the tasting experience has even begun.
How to enjoy
A Cognac of this fine quality is best enjoyed as an after-dinner digestif at Christmas, as a contemplative drink. Cool it to room temperature, or drink it slightly chilled. Allow it to warm slowly in the glass, which will release waves of aroma. Then, pour around an inch of Cognac into a tulip-shaped snifter, while pausing to take in the aromas. Take small sips to appreciate the smoothness of the Cognac, and watch its layers unfold. With its lengthy finish - you’ll enjoy it long after it’s gone.
